Time Management

When I manage my time poorly I feel overwhelmed and stressed out and if that happens my whole schedule is crazy. I need to manage my time wisely because then the time I spend with my family, friends, work, and my homework doesn't get done. If I don't get my homework finished then I will have to stay in El Dorado for the weekend and I usually go to Emporia to visit my friends and family. If I don't get my homework done then I am going to have to stay at school to finish it and get help on it so that means that i will be missing a day of work and if I don't work that means I am broke and I wont be able to pay my bills. There are times when I can manage my time wisely. I order for me to do that I have to prioritise whats important at the time. Thee have been times when the first thing I do when I get home is go straight for the books. When I get whats the most important out of the way I feel that hundreds or pounds have been lifted off my shoulders. The feeling is less overwhelming and less stressful. In order to achieve time, I tend to make a list of everything that I have for the day or evening and put them in order from one to ten, depending on how important and how time consuming.Being in college and managing my time is quite different from high school. College is optional, and not a requirement. It is the only thing you can count on for a good future, so the decision is yours. If you choose college then for that period of time it should be your number one priority, as it is mine. High school was a very different path for me. At the time school wasn't an interest to me, all I cared about was my family and friends. Two years after dropping out, I made the decision to go and finish. Battling with a full time job and school, I was given the option to choose between work and school. Once choosing school I knew I had to focus on my books and get it over with as soon as possible. I feel that school is a privilege and, its up to you to make the best of it.
